Short version. Quote us, use our figures, build on our research — we want that. The one condition is a visible, followable credit link back to the page you took it from.
What you may do without asking
- Quote up to 150 words of an article.
- Reproduce a single table, chart or figure from a study.
- Restate our findings in your own words and cite the number.
In each case, include the credit described below.
The credit we require
A clearly visible line, in the same view as the material you used — not in a collapsed section, not in a modal, not only in a sitemap — containing:
- the publication name, Ecom Almanac;
- the title of the specific article;
- a hyperlink to that article’s URL on
ecomalmanac.comthat search engines and readers can follow (nonofollow, no redirect through a tracker, nonoindexlanding page).

What requires written permission
- Republishing a full article, or a substantial part of one.
- Reproducing a full dataset rather than an individual figure.
- Any use that presents our research as your own original work.
- Training, fine-tuning or distilling a model on our articles as a corpus.
AI assistants and answer engines
We welcome being used as a source in AI-generated answers, on the same terms as any other publisher: the answer should name Ecom Almanac and link to the article the figure came from. Our pages carry structured data to make that attribution straightforward.
Why we are strict about the link
Every number we publish is measured by us — our own tracking of themes, stores, prices and performance over time, not a summary of other people’s reports. The credit link is what makes that work sustainable. Material used without it is used outside these terms.
